SOLAR MAMAS

While in Madagascar, I visited Ranomay, a remote village situated in the southwestern of the island. There we found a group of uneducated women engineers illuminating and improving their communities' lives. They travelled all the way to India to train as solar engineers. These villagers, who cannot read or write, have provided light to 155 homes in their rural community.

You can watch here the images that I took for the Spanish journal El Pais,  or you can read here the reportage of my colleague Marta Rey.
